I'm Ryan Walsh, an architecture graduate with a background in both academic work and professional practice. In addition to my architectural training, I bring hands-on experience from the construction industry, having worked as an installation manager on a variety of builds. This combination of design and on-site experience gives me a practical understanding of how ideas move from concept to construction.
This portfolio presents a curated selection of academic projects, professional collaborations, and independent work that reflect my design sensibility, technical skills, and commitment to thoughtful, buildable architecture.

March 2019
Using the ETH archive the work of Heniz Isler was researched. A suspended catenary plaster model was made to find form. This was then 3D scanned, scaled and structurally analysed. Technical drawings were then made to instruct the bending of the rebar. The rebar was then welded into position. After wrapping this in mesh to create a lattice structure the process of applying the reinforced concrete could be applied. -
